2018 IWGA State Junior Press Release – August 1, 2018
Grace Curran from New Lenox CAPTURES THE 2018 IWGA JUNIOR GIRLS’ CHAMPIONSHIP
Wednesday, August 1st, was moving day for the competitors. Grace Curran from New Lenox, shot a 71 in the second round to overtake medalist Kira 
Wolf for the championship title with a two-day total of 143. Kira Wolf of Matoon, was the runner up shooting a 145. Past champion, Roshana Gaur from Hinsdale, took 3rd place with a 146. The low score of the day went to Lauren Nay from Naperville with a 68.
Hickory Point provided a fair yet challenging venue for the championship this year. The IWGA looks forward to hosting the next State Junior Girls Championship in Rockford, at Aldeen Golf Club July 30 – 31, next year.
The IWGA also announced today the recipients of the 2018 Julia H. Dodds award. This year, the IWGA presented the award to (information coming soon!)
