About the IWGA State Women’s Amateur
77th ILLINOIS WOMEN’S AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

The IWGA annually sponsors and administers the Illinois State Women’s Amateur Championship. The event is open to women and girls who are residents of Illinois and have a handicap index of 28.0 or less.
The tournament format is 18 holes of stroke play qualifying to determine the seeding of players into the match play. The Championship Flight is comprised of the low 32 qualifiers with any ties for 32nd place being determined by sudden-death playoff. All other flights are comprised of 8 players each.
